Sergio Oliva The legend; the Myth

Sergio Oliva the legend; the Myth is the second episode in Know your Pro’s Golden days of bodybuilding. Sergio was a Cuban weightlifting champion who made it to America and became a biggest star in bodybuilding. He was 3 times Mr Olympia 1967, 1968 and 1969. He was called the Myth! It was coined by fellow bodybuilder and writer Ricky Wayne. He definitely was myth in the world of bodybuilding. He even had won Mr. Olympia 1968 uncontested and unchallenged. No one turned to the contest when they heard Sergio was competing, that itself speaks volume about the effect he had on the bodybuilding during his era.

He was not a fulltime bodybuilder, he worked in a steel mill 12 hours a day and then would toil 2 hours in the gym and lifting heavy weights and he had a phenomenal body. Even to this day he could compete and still hold his own. He was the real and I would say 1st mass monster but with aesthetics. Huge herculean physique, great muscle belly and there were few poses of his which are legendary! The victory pose it’s also called Sergio Pose; no one can replicate it and look like Sergio in that! Not even the great Arnold! The crab shot was also very famous, There was his Lats spread which was phenomenal, even Arnold has quoted he had never seen such wide and thick Lats and he was blown away by Sergio.

He was a genetic freak, he is one of most gifted bodybuilders of all time and he was born to be a bodybuilder! His upper body and lower body proportion was unparallel, his only flaw was in detail, that’s what gave Arnold the edge. He competed in 1985 Mr Olympia at age 44, he was not placed well and the crowned booed big time against the decision, he had to come on stage and clam the audience  so that the show could continue. He was a great champion and also a movie star and a policeman.

One of the most interesting Mr Olympia was the one in 1972, which can be billed as Sergio Oliva Vs Arnold Schwarzenegger most though Sergio won and still today it’s a debated topic as to who really should have won it!

Why are Bodybuilders Landing At the Hospital Frequently

Why are Bodybuilders landing At the Hospital Frequently? Just heard the news that one of the pro bodybuilder, Mohamed Salama has been hospitalized. That’s another bodybuilder who has been hospitalized and has fallen sick.

Few months ago there was another big bodybuilder who lost all his gains and fell sick and got hospitalized. He is Baitollah Abbaspour who has an amazing physique and had great potential and could have won Mr. Olympia 212 class in years to come.

Bodybuilding is an extreme sport and ramification of drug use and constantly loading your body with toxins can catch up on you! You have seen it in the past. I want to stress that “Fitness is all about being health “and “Body building is all about symmetry and proportions” so try doing it naturally and be the best you can be without external aids like steroids or HGH.

Be fit and be healthy, being big can boost your ego but definitely doesn’t boost your health!

Cute Baby Elephant Running Wild to be Feed

Cute Baby Elephant Running Wild to be feed by its mother. What a delight to watch a cute beast! Had visited Elephant camp Dubare, where these beautiful and majestic animals are taken care off.

Dubare Elephant camp is a project undertaken by forest department and Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd. This camp has plenty of elephants which are trained under naturalists a trained Naturalist is at hand to explain the various aspects of Elephant history, ecology and biology. The visitor can not only observe and learn but also participate in various activities involving Elephants.

The Karnataka Forest Department has about 150 Elephants in various camps and Dubare has been historically an important camp. The Elephants for the famous Mysore Dasara were trained at Dubare elephant camp. But presently after logging operations have ceased, the Forest Department does not really know what to do with all its elephants!

These magnificent animals should be looked after with great care and I also read that great efforts have been taken to make sure there are no human and wild encounters and no pouching is done.

Chisel that chest – 3 best Chest Exercises for the Perfect Pecs Workout

I have been trying to find a quick and effective workout which can hit all the areas of chest and get ripped, that’s how I came up with Chisel that chest - Chest Exercises for the Perfect Pecs Workout.

I not only wanted set of exercises which will hit every fiber in the chest muscle but also give me tremendous pump. It’s not time consuming as long as you keep a good pace from one set to another. I suggest reducing the rest period between the sets to enhance the training intensity.

Now that we discussed what has to be done and what pace the workout should be set in, let’s look into the exercises. Inclined bench press is one of the 3 best upper chest exercises, if used diligently we can get great results. I think these are my 3 best chest exercises for the Perfect Pecs.

I did a variation of two benching exercises. Inclined bench press and inclined close grip bench press, 7 sets of 35-40 reps each exercise. Do it in the same order as I. once you are done with total of 14 sets on both of these exercises go on to do dips. 5 sets of dips to failure the pump you get out of it enormous.

Try this variation on your chest day and see great chest development.

Iron mike Tyson is a boxing legend and one of the most powerful and enigmatic personality to grace the sport of boxing. Tyson Became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion of the world at the age of 20 years and 4 months after defeating Trevor Berbick thus lead to the beginning of new era in boxing, the “Tyson mania”. One thing always about mike was he was always in shape for the fight. His work ethic and the kind of training he went through during his career are legendary. Once mike quit boxing he went on from a chiseled physique fighter to a guy who looked like had serious weight issues.

Mike Tyson’s weight loss is a remarkable exhibition of will, now to lose that amount of weight and be back in shape takes two things dedication and great will.
